Audios
From our work facilitating pilgrimages and retreats as well as publishing, a new avenue opened up to us in the creation of audiovisuals.
We began with a musical accompaniment to the Office of the Passion.
Then a new idea emerged to share some kernels of the writings of St. Francis and St. Clare, composing mantras that could be sung in the hope that rhythmic, repetitive singing would enable us to first of all experience the burning love they had for God and for Jesus Christ, as well as possibly committing to memory their wisdom. Thus there emerged our album Love Holding Love.
And our final creation was a CD of 12 mantras based on the Journey into God by St. Bonaventure.
Liturgical Dances
The choreography to meditative, liturgical dances accompanied by the music of our Franciscan Mantras can be found by clicking here:
“Gospel realities can penetrate you through simple chants,
sung over and over again:
‘Jesus, your light is shining within us; let my heart always welcome your love.’
When you work, when you rest, these realities keep echoing within you.
Sometimes prayer is an inner struggle,
and sometimes it means surrendering one’s whole being.
At a given moment, it becomes simply resting in God in silence.
That is perhaps one of the high points of prayer.”
